Peerspace is the best-known way to rent out a home, studio or venue by the hour, but it isn’t the only one, and its 20% host fee is on the high side. Here are the alternatives worth listing on, and what each one keeps.
For photo and film shoots, add Giggster (19%). For events paid by invoice, Tagvenue can take as little as 10% (15% for shoots, meetings and online payments). AVVAY (15% + 30¢) and Set Scouter bring productions to homes and studios through their scouts. Most hosts do best on two or three platforms with one shared calendar.
